A snack or a coffee can do the job well, but keep in mind that you do not have to go all out and commit a month's wages on this first meeting, no matter how much you want to impress. There is lots of time for top quality restaurants when you know for sure that your relationship is going somewhere.

Pick a simple pastime, like a stroll around the downtown core, provided the weather is almost certainly to be good for this. Be sure you have an alternative in mind just in case the day turns really poor - arriving with dripping hair, tends not to make a good first impression!
